So she stayed away from various relationships thinking that if she focused on working on her studies and getting good grades she would get into that good college that her parents wanted so badly for her. Well, Chloe did get into that good college and guess what? She failed. Proving that she wasted her life with school and homework rather than building relationships that could've gone somewhere for her.
So Chloe did the only thing an adult in her shoes could do. Get wasted. While she was wasted a man brought her home in a cab and raped her. That man proved to be a vampire and in a moment of bloodlust he drank her blood and turned her into a vampire leaving her for dead. Chloe was found by the police, identified by her family, and buried in the Moon Valley cemetery. That was the end of her human life.
But her new life as a vampire was just getting started.
