Isafaro had a beautiful city skyline full of skyscrapers with a mystic and rather ugly black tower seen in the distance from the Crystal Expanse. On top of one of the skyscrapers was Maricul, hanging upside down the top reading a black book titled 'Night Angel'. While she was reading the book's contents a Vulture helicopter came on the scene.
"This is Isafaro military! Get down at once!"
Maricul ignored them at first, and then free fell from the skyscraper and down the building. The chopper began to open fire on Maricul, but the pages of the book came flying out and surrounded her like a shield protecting her from the bullets. The pages, proving to be razor sharp, then sliced through the chopper and cut it to bits. By the time Maricul's feet touched the floor of the streets the chopper crashed behind her and exploded. Mari knew that this place would be covered with soldiers soon, so she casually walked forward and down the street to get away from the point of interest returning her eyes to the book that never left her hand.

Utena fell to the ground. The cold, hard ground. Blades stuck into her flesh all around her body. It hurt to move, it hurt to breathe. Utena had no idea where she was now. It wasn't Ohtori Academy like before. It was someplace dark. Someplace hollow. One thing was for sure however. Utena was dying.
Through sheer force of will the Champion of the Duels climbed up to her feet, leaning against a building's wall in what appeared to be an alleyway. Utena staggered forward, a trail of blood following behind her. She eventually fell to the ground in the path of a stranger in blue and black with fire and smoke rising in the distance. Utena looked up through blur vision and called out to the stranger.
"Help me!"
It took all her strength just to speak.

Maricul's nostrils flared at the scent of fresh blood. Dark brown eyes were downcast upon a young woman with long pink hair and blue eyes. Dressed like a prince with a fencing sword, but what stood out were the various blades sticking into her causing her to bleed out. There was no helping her. She would die from the blood lost and taking the blades out would only cause her to bleed out faster. Maricul stood at her head and looked down on her with an almost blank expression not unlike that of her eldest sister Ranko.
"You're dying."
The statement was obvious, but not without a hint of caring in Maricul's voice. She may have been a complete bitch to most people, but she wasn't heartless. Maricul knew there was only one way to save her at this point, but the woman, whoever she was, had to make the choice herself.
"Do you want to die?"

Utena barely registered what the woman had said to her. Those brown eyes were dark and almost uncaring and there seemed to be a bout of maturity Utena has never seen before behind those dark brown eyes. The tone of voice betrayed the coldness in her eyes however. Utena was able to make out the last question and in response Utena weakly reached out her hand for the woman. Hoping that by some miracle the woman would save her. Would make the pain and the bleeding stop. But what could she do?
If only Utena knew.

The gesture was all Maricul needed to act. She knelt down to a single knee and gently lifted up the head of the fallen prince. Inching towards her neck the Seductress ventured into all too familiar territory. Smelling the sweet innocent blood rushing through her veins, but she was definitely no virgin. No matter. Maricul sank her fangs into the veins in the woman's throat and a sea of memories came flooding into Maricul's head as she drank the blood.
Maricul learned that this woman was named Utena Tenjou from a world called Earth. Heartbroken at a young age she waited to die in a casket before a prince impressed her enough to get her out from the depths of despair. She met a dear friend, and her prince whom she loved, but chose friendship over the dark prince. That was when the blades sank into her. And now Maricul bit into her wrist and allowed the blood to flow from it above Utena's lips.
"Drink."

Utena wasn't entirely aware of what was happening, but it wasn't the strangest thing to ever happen to her. She submitted to the woman's bite and drinking of her blood. When she saw the blood dripping from the woman's wrist, Utena consented. Thinking that maybe in some strange way it would revive her like her powers back in Japan. Utena tasted the blood and it almost felt sweet as her eyes flashed red and she passed out. The deed have been done, and Utena's life as a mortal was over.

Maricul brought the wrist away from Utena's lips and allowed her healing powers to close the wound on her wrist. Maricul then removed the blades from Utena's body, letting her new healing powers take over before lifting her up into a bridal carry and taking her off the streets of Isafaro.
Maricul entered Riley's Place. The strip club/nightclub that Riley ran for his assassins' guide. Maricul went into one of the private rooms and laid Utena flat on the bed. Pulling out one of the chairs in the room and sitting down in it waiting for the woman to awaken. She would no doubt have questions and the shock of the powers to come to her would be unnerving. For now though Maricul would let her rest.

When Utena came to a rush of senses came to her. Her eyes could make out everything in the room the second they opened. Her sense of smell was enhanced making out every scent not only in the room, but in the whole building. She felt strength like never before, her ears ached, her nostrils burned, her taste sparked. Everything was different, but Utena didn't know how or why. She noticed that the blades were no longer in her, and the bleeding was gone. Had the woman saved her?
Utena sat up from the bed and looked over to where the woman was standing. Not knowing what to say. Other than the obvious.
"What happened?"
Her memories were unclear of how the woman saved her, but clearly something remarkable had occurred. More than anything else that happened at home.
"You saved me. How?"
